With three children of our own, my wife and I welcome families, children and pets from the world-over to our boutique hotel, which over centuries has functioned as an inn and guesthouse in the centre of the charming city of Ansbach. Free Wi-Fi, hi-tech Nespresso machines and flat-screen TVs are just a few of the contemporary comforts you can expect to find in our rooms, all of which include shower facilities and ultra-soft furniture for the whole family. Whether you’re travelling for business or leisure, we can accommodate you… and feed you in our typically Bavarian restaurant, which has already hosted many famous guests including the Prince Regent of Bavaria, German chancellors and presidents, and famous names in industry and the arts. We’re big believers in matching our property’s historic charm with convenient features to help your trip go smoothly. Car parking is available in front of and close to the building, and we offer a range of different bed types for children. Pets are also allowed on request for a small additional fee. Our food is something we take very seriously, and we source only local and organic ingredients for the various meals we offer, including divine dinners and a daily breakfast buffet. Enjoy fresh herbs, fish and venison, locally-brewed beer and more along with slow-cooked specialities. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available on request.
Want to celebrate a wedding, christening or anniversary? Or perhaps treat your colleagues to a special lunch or dinner? Head to our historic hotel to enjoy heavenly bites and tipples in our garden lounge or restaurant. At Hotel & Restaurant Schwarzer Bock, we care about you… and the planet, too. We’ve taken several steps to reduce the carbon footprint of our historic property. We are certified organic, have installed a photovoltaic terrace roof outside to generate solar power, and obtain food from local sources to reduce our food miles.
