Announcing the Winners of the Historic Hotels of Europe Awards 2025

November 12, 2025
A group of people pose indoors, some holding certificates, in front of banners reading "Historic Hotels of Europe" and "Recognising Excellence in Hospitality," celebrating the Historic Hotels of Europe Awards 2025.

The Historic Hotels of Europe is delighted to announce the winners of the 2025 Historic Hotels of Europe Awards, celebrating the continent’s most remarkable heritage stays. Now in its 11th year, the awards honour properties that keep Europe’s stories alive – places where history is not only preserved, but experienced through exceptional hospitality, artistry, and care.

The winners were announced on Monday, 10 November 2025, during a gala dinner at Schloss Frankenberg in Germany – itself a proud Gold Award winner this year.

Thousands of travellers and heritage enthusiasts from across the continent cast their votes, shining a spotlight on hotels that left a lasting mark. From hilltop castles to lakeside manors, from family-run inns to gastronomic retreats, the 2025 laureates embody the spirit of European travel – authentic, memorable, and deeply rooted in place.

“Every one of our winners tells a story – not just of a place, but of the people who bring it to life. It’s their care, creativity, and genuine welcome that transform heritage into unforgettable experiences.” Kenneth Healy, Chairman of the Historic Hotels of Europe
