Historic Hotels of Europe has partnered up with Klosters Music 2022: a union that nods to their mutual appreciation for history, art, and culture across the continent.
Established in 2019, Klosters Music is an annual event that celebrates the anniversary of Klosters, an alpine village known for its amazing ski provision and location to the awe-inspiring Swiss alps. With so much to offer, Klosters has understandably attracted global attention over the past century, including that of American film stars and the British royal family, while steadfastly clinging onto its heritage and original charm.
From being quietly founded over 800 years ago to gaining global recognition, Klosters has had quite the journey throughout time that Klosters Music 2022 will honour, as it has in its previous shows.
Similarly, the spirit behind Historic Hotels of Europe revolves around shining a light on the continent’s most historic gems and fascinating cultures. This philosophy is preserved through the amazing properties found in its Collection, all with a unique "story to share".
Taking place between 30 July and 7 August 2022, this year´s edition of Klosters Music is set to welcome famous composers, instrumentalists, ensembles, singers and more to the historic village - celebrating some of the world’s top musical talent against a magnificent mountainous landscape.
The motto “Zeitreise. A Musical Journey” was chosen by artistic director David Whelton to musically reflect the 800th anniversary of Klosters. From its opening performance - an orchestral tribute to Romanticism and Swiss history - to the toe-tapping brilliance of the Berlin Ensemble Philarmonix and the dizzyingly talented Hagen Quartett, this year’s programme is filled with unforgettable shows.
Historic Hotels of Europe have plans to partner up with more magnificent musical organisations in2022. They’ll be revealing what’s in the works over the coming months.
