Tivoli Park

The largest green space in the magnificent city of Ljubljana, Slovenia, Tivoli Park, designed in 1813, is one of the best ways to experience nature in an urban landscape. Designed by Jean Blanchard, a French engineer, the goal of his design was to unite two existing parks over 5 square kilometres. Today, it is one of the most exquisite parks within city limits across Europe. With more than 100 hours worth of walking trails, it is easy to get lost exploring the many paths lined with beautiful flower beds, lush trees, and tranquil streams. The scenic Jakopič Promenade sits in the central part of Tivoli Park. It has become a well known outdoor venue for exhibitions of large-format photographs and hosts a beautiful view at sunset.

If you’re looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of urban life, grab a coffee and walk along the winding paths of the quaint Tivoli Park.

Tivoli Park is located just a few minutes walk from the city center of Ljubljana and is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Especially in the summer months, you can cool off in its shade and enjoy refreshments in the bars in the park. There are many walking trails around the park, you can also climb to Rožnik, where there is...

A must visit. Very beautiful, large, well maintained, with lots of pedestrian and cycling paths. Good washroom and beautiful art in the cafe. A highlight of Ljubljana and easy to get to.

It’s perfect for a relaxing walk, a bike ride, or just sitting on a bench and enjoying nature. The park is huge and offers...

A lovely park, a bit too few shadowy spots available and there could have been more maps around. Otherwise I recommend going there to see swans and walk between huge trees and vast grass areas.
