Fancy sushi, or maybe world class spaghetti or Portuguese seafood? From America to South East Asia, the Time Out Market in Lisbon caters to foodies from near and far. It’s the first market in the world bringing together a multitude of 5 star restaurants of diverse world cuisines, exquisite bars, and staple produce vendors, each chosen by an independent panel of culinary experts, the Time Out Market is sure to delight every visitor.

Also known as the Mercado da Ribeira, the Time Out Market is an idea curated from scratch in 2014 by the editorial team of the TimeOut Magazine. Stall holders of this market rotate on a weekly to a maximum of 3-year basis in-which only the absolute best vendors last. The venue goes far beyond food, however, and a range of events and concerts are held in the TimeOut Market. Though, to experience a world of fine cuisine, one must look no further than Lisbon’s largest culinary attraction: if it doesn’t get four or five stars in Time Out, it’s out.

The best of Portuguese cuisine under one roof. Amazing vibe and atmosphere. Freshly prepared sea food, pastries , sweets and pastel de natas in one place. It gets very crowded and in some stores the prices are a bit high. Its is just 5 minutes walk from cais do sodre station.

This is our first stop after a 16 hour flight. It took us around 10mins from our Airbnb and glad we made the trip. Time Out Market Lisboa is a big indoor food hall inside the historic Mercado da Ribeira at Cais do Sodré. It brings together top restaurants, bars, shops, and food stalls all under one roof.
