The Lisbon Oceanarium

The Lisbon Oceanarium is a world-class aquarium located in the Parque das Nações district of Lisbon, Portugal. It is home to over 15,000 animals from over 450 different species, making it one of the largest aquariums in Europe. The oceanarium has an impressive collection of marine life: you’ll encounter everything from graceful sharks and majestic rays to playful otters and colourful tropical fish. There are even penguins waddling around their own icy enclosure!

The exhibits are designed to take visitors on a journey through the world’s oceans, showcasing some of the most fascinating creatures that inhabit our planet.

One of the highlights of the Lisbon Oceanarium is its massive central tank that holds nearly 5 million liters of seawater. Visitors can walk through a transparent tunnel while being surrounded by various species swimming above them. This immersive experience allows visitors to feel as though they are exploring the depths of the ocean alongside these magnificent creatures.

In addition to its impressive animal collection and interactive exhibits, the Lisbon Oceanarium also puts great emphasis on conservation and education.

With so much to see and learn about, this attraction truly offers something for everyone – whether you’re a marine biology enthusiast or simply looking for a fun day out with family or friends.
