La Petite France

The picturesque quarter La Petite France is the historic centre of Strasbourg and sits on the western banks of the river, the Grande Île.

With buildings from the 16th century, La Petite France is a perfect place to capture the past.

It is easy to spend the day in this tightly packed neighbourhood, strolling from cafe to cafe with warm baguettes and fresh croissants in hand. To have a taste of France, this area will leave you satisfied and breathless from both its elegant beauty and metropolitan fun!

You don’t need a jam packed itinerary to make the most of this culture-crammed island: simply wandering the streets and admire the historic scenery and structures as you stroll by, and take particular note of the Rue du Bain-aux-Plantes. Each half-timbered house on this street is painted white and sports various sizes and shapes, creating an aesthetic that leaves quite the impression

Really beautiful place. I was interested in visiting this place after reading about Studio Ghibli. Of course Colmar was the main inspiration, but Strasbourg had a second place in there too. Really enjoyed the view and the architecture.

A beautiful area to visit. No need for a tour guide. Make sure to vost the hydraulic swing bridge built in 1888.

An amazing place, beautiful houses surrounded by the river flowing between them. Very pleasant walking and soaking the amazing atmosphere. Christmas 🎄 time is unique, but lots of people know that, . so the place is very crowded. Pick a restaurant or cafe to make your visit relaxed and tasty😉 Hope I've helped you.
