Island Brač, where you’ll discover one of the country’s most famous beaches, Zlatni Rat.
The Zlatni Rat, often referred to as the Golden Cape or Golden Horn, is a spit of land located about 2 kilometers west from the harbor town of Bol on the southern coast of the Croatian island of Brač, in the region of Dalmatia. It has been claimed to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world by National Geographic and the New York Times on several occasions and is certified as a Blue Flag beach.
The beach is stunning. Though many believe it is a sand beach, it is a pebble beach, covered in fine, small stones that are pleasant to walk on. The waters are clear, turquoise blue to be enjoyed on both sides of the cape. The area of the beach is over 20.000 square meters and can comfortably accommodate over 10,000 people, which it does every summer.
Kite and wind surfers flock to this spot, but is has so much to offer any visitor from the ancient Roman Villa Rustica just steps away from the beach, to restaurants and “Stones of Happiness”, Zlatni Rat is such to captivate all those who come to visit it.
The beach is reachable either by car or by a 20-minute walk along the sea from Bol. Every half hour, a tourist train travels to the ocean, as well as tourist boats that depart from the port of Bol in the summer.
We recommend to stay in one of our historic accommodation, each one with its own “Story to share”.
