Hotel Falken

Established in 1895, our hotel overlooks the impressive Jungfrau and Lauterbrunnen. With chocolate-box views of the car-free village of Wengen and the surrounding valleys, the area is a hotspot for ski enthusiasts, mountaineers and rock climbers alike.

Cared for by successive generations of the von Allmen-Cova family since the 19th century, many of the original and intricate interior details remain. Richly decorated entryways dotted with floral motifs welcome you on arrival. Original wood floors, Art Nouveau chandeliers and traditional furniture are features of the dining room and inviting red velvet sofas, and art-adorned walls make the piano bar hard to leave.

For thrillseekers and fun lovers, there are year-round adventures to be had. Climb the nearby Schilthorn, where one of the first James Bond movies was filmed and, with snow-covered slopes only a few hundred metres from our door, you can ski in and out in the winter months.
Car-free Wengen is an experience in itself and the cog railway — in use since 1893 — is still the only connection between Wengen and the Lauterbrunnen Valley.
