Tällbergsgårdens Hotel is one of the oldest farms in the village—now a welcoming, family-run retreat with deep roots and a strong sense of place. Set high above Lake Siljan, our hotel offers 30 individually styled rooms, from cosy singles to romantic suites with balconies, fireplaces or whirlpool baths. While a few rooms sit in the main house, most are tucked into converted farm buildings around the grounds, each with its own character and charm.

At Tällbergsgårdens restaurant, Johanssons, the flavours of Dalarna take centre stage. Our menus follow the seasons, built around ingredients sourced from the surrounding landscape—meat from local farms, freshly caught Swedish fish, vegetables grown in Dala soil, and berries, apples and herbs from our own garden. In winter, we turn to classic Swedish techniques to preserve and extend the harvest. It’s honest, thoughtful cooking rooted in place, served with a view over Lake Siljan.
