At Sundbyholm Castle, you can shape your stay to suit your pace. Choose from modern suites with extra space, or opt for one of our more classic hotel buildings, where rooms are styled with rich fabrics, comfortable beds and views of Lake Mälaren just beyond the window. All accommodation is dotted around the castle grounds, with rooms thoughtfully renovated and bathrooms fully tiled.
While the castle itself holds no guest rooms, it is the heart of the experience—home to our restaurant, where breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are served in beautifully historic spaces. It’s also where we host weddings, celebrations and evenings that stretch on in good company.
Weekdays are often filled with focused meetings and conferences, while weekends slow into something more relaxed—with romantic packages, tastings and space to unwind. We’re dog-friendly too, with a few designated rooms for guests travelling with pets (just let us know in advance). The castle, meanwhile, remains a space for dining, celebration, and quiet grandeur.

Dining at Sundbyholm Castle is a quietly elegant experience, with seasonal menus served in flower-filled halls lit by candlelight. Our kitchen prepares almost everything from scratch, with influences from both Sörmland and further afield. In warmer months, the castle terrace opens for lakeside meals. Guests with dinner packages will have a table reserved, while others are welcome to book in advance. Thoughtful food, seasonal flavours, and a setting designed for lingering a little longer.
Our four outdoor hot spa baths offer a peaceful way to unwind, tucked between our chalets and junior suites. Heated to 39–40°C and open most of the year, they’re designed for quiet relaxation—not play—so we keep them adults-only (ages 8+). Bathrobes and slippers are provided, just bring your swimsuit. For extra privacy, some suites feature their own jacuzzi and sauna. We recommend booking your spa time in advance to ensure availability during your stay.
From elegant weddings to company kick-offs, Sundbyholm Castle is made for celebration. With centuries-old banquet halls, lakeside views, and tailored service, we host everything from intimate dinners to grand themed parties—including masquerade balls and Viking feasts. Our experienced team is here to help plan every detail. For conferences, we offer flexible spaces for 8 to 250 guests, six suites for private meetings, and 115 rooms across the estate—making us one of Sörmland’s largest castle venues.
