The Strandflickorna story began in 1993, when friends Åsa and Bettina opened a humble summer hostel with a shared dream of seaside hospitality. That dream grew with Villa Strand – a beloved guesthouse since 1894 – followed by the historic ‘Strandflickornas Hotel’, built in 1904 and beautifully poised just above the shoreline. In 2019, they welcomed the Yellow Villa into the fold: a stately gem with three elegant rooms and a generous apartment.
Today, guests can choose between these three distinctive villas or retreat to one of the two ‘hideaways’ – exclusive rooms perched right at the water’s edge, complete with private outdoor jacuzzis and steps into the Gullmarn fjord.
