Lejondals Castle sits beside the peaceful waters of Lake Lejondalssjön—an inviting spot for a swim, a paddle or simply a moment to take in the view. Surrounded by forest, fields and sculpted gardens, our soft pink castle is often described as a fairytale setting, but what makes it truly special is the warm welcome that greets every guest. You’re free to wander the elegant salons, relax in the lounges, or settle in with a book beside the water.
Our guest rooms are dotted around the estate, each with its own charm. Stay in the refined Manor House, the cosy Country House, or one of our lakeside Cottages with a private patio. Wherever you stay, expect restful views of the gardens, lake or meadows.
The castle was built in 1892 by Baroness Louise De Geer, with architecture by Isak-Gustaf Clason, known for the Hallwyl Palace and Nordic Museum. It’s a young castle by Swedish standards—but with stories etched into every room, from noble coats of arms to hidden corners of history.

Dining at Lejondals Castle is a feast for all the senses. Our chefs craft seasonal menus with local ingredients, while our sommelier-curated wine list brings together bold discoveries and beloved classics. Choose from elegant Art Nouveau dining rooms, steeped in family history, or our lakeside Veranda—perfect for breakfast in the sun or a relaxed summer barbecue. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea are all served with care, character and a dash of castle magic
Our Manor House Pool Lounge is a peaceful, year-round escape inspired by English garden style—lush, elegant and full of light. Unwind in the warm indoor pool or hot tub, relax in the sauna, or stretch out on a lounge bed with views over Lake Lejondalssjön. It’s the perfect place to recharge before dinner at the castle, with a chilled G&T or glass of sparkling wine in hand. For the brave, the lake is always calling.
Whether you’re planning a quiet strategy session or a celebration to remember, Lejondals Castle is made for special moments. We offer elegant meeting rooms for groups of all sizes—some hidden in towers, others overlooking the lake—and a private manor house for discreet gatherings. Weddings and parties are just as thoughtfully hosted, with romantic settings indoors and out, personalised menus and expert support to help you create something truly your own. All you need to bring is your imagination.
