In the heart of Ljubljana city centre, a distinctive stone archway marks the entrance to Antiq Palace, our luxury 16th century palace hotel. Designed originally as the residential palace of noble Slovenian families, it’s brimming with character and stories — the perfect base from which to explore the many delights of Slovenia.
Around 2,000 years ago on this same spot in the old town centre (just a two-minute stroll from Congress Square), an ancient necropolis in the roman settlement of Emona (Iulia Aemona) existed. Today our reception area features stone floors and textured Persian and Turkish rugs, while exposed stone corridors with vaulted ceilings are lined with antiques. Contrasting modern artworks adorn our walls and the 19 guest bedrooms are spacious and elegant.
We serve a buffet breakfast in our restaurant and two light-filled cobblestone courtyards, while the restaurants, bars and cafés of central Ljubljana are all in walking distance. Our compact wellness centre offers a whirlpool tub, Finnish, Turkish and infrared sauna and a small gym.
