Since opening to guests in 2017, Dromore House has become a haven for those seeking a stay truly beyond the ordinary. Tucked into the rich Northern Irish countryside and just minutes from the spectacular Causeway Coast, we offer a peaceful base for exploring landmarks like the Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and Mussenden Temple.
Inside, the house brims with character—painted floorboards, roll-top baths, original shutters, and antiques collected over a lifetime. Settle into the drawing room with a book, wander through the three-acre grounds, or enjoy the quiet charm of the summer house.
Our bedrooms are designed for deep rest, with crisp Egyptian cotton, deep baths and thoughtful details throughout. In the morning, enjoy a generous country house breakfast—freshly baked bread, fruit from the garden, and local produce at its best. For lovers of interiors, food, gardens and soul-stirring places, Dromore House is a restorative delight.

Each of our rooms offers a restful retreat with its own distinctive character. The Superior King features an elegant brass bed, roll-top bath and antique touches throughout. Our romantic Four Poster room looks onto the garden and includes a luxurious walk-in shower. The Heritage Room is full of period charm, with a freestanding bath and garden views. For a more private escape, The Old Scullery offers two small double beds, a cosy kitchen, separate entrance—and it’s dog-friendly on request.
Breakfast at Dromore House is a celebration of local flavour and generous hospitality. Enjoy a traditional Ulster breakfast with butcher’s sausages, rich black pudding, homemade potato bread and locally sourced bacon—plus plenty of delicious accompaniments. We also offer vegan and vegetarian alternatives, along with daily specials like eggs Benedict, fluffy pancakes with fruit or bacon, and creamy porridges. One of the highlights is our artisan cheese board, featuring award-winning cheeses from a local producer in the nearby Sperrin mountains. All freshly prepared and served with care, it’s the perfect start to a day on the Causeway Coast.
The gardens at Dromore House offer a peaceful retreat among mature trees, woodland paths and sweeping countryside views. Take time to wander, pause by the orchard, or relax beside the kitchen garden with a book or simply soak up the stillness. We’re gently shaping wild areas to support local wildlife, and are often visited by hares, badgers, foxes and hedgehogs. Each year, migratory birds return to nest in the grounds—many repairing the same spots and raising one or two clutches through the season. In spring and summer, the garden comes alive with birdsong, adding to the sense of quiet renewal. It’s a little sanctuary in every season.
