The first reliable information about our historic hotel dates back to 1889, when the English poet, Robert Browning, purchased it for himself. A passionate admirer of the Florentine countryside, he filled the house with ornate details and gave it the ambience of a noble Tuscan residence – an influence we’ve worked hard to preserve ever since.
Today, Villa Cipriani exists as a gorgeous, grand landmark of hospitality in the rolling hills of Asolo. From its verdant green gardens – complete with beautiful swimming pool – to its relaxing terraces and stunning views, it’s the perfect place from which to admire the Tuscan countryside.
Our rooms are a treat for curious travellers, too. Furnished with antiques and decorated with fine examples of Italian craftsmanship – such as precious marbles, fine earthenware and elegant watercolours – art collectors and history lovers alike will revel in the details. What’s more, amazing food can be enjoyed in our award-winning restaurant, while at the end of each day, comfortable king-size beds invite you to enjoy a blissful sleep. Our main restaurant spans across two internal rooms and an elegant terrace, and is open daily for lunch and dinner. We offer a variety of dishes ranging from villa specialities to regional delights and Mediterranean favourites, as well as many wonderful vegetarian and vegan options. Bistrot Rosmarino – a cosy restaurant located right above the pool – is also open in the summer, while you can get your fix of cocktails (both shaken and stirred) at our American Bar.
In partnership with Sothys, we’ve put together a wellness area with a fully-equipped gym, sauna, turkish bath and multi-sensory shower, wherein you can also benefit from a variety of massages and treatments given by qualified personnel. From body rituals to sports massages and facial treatments, we have everything you need to pamper yourself in style.
