Built in the 17th century on medieval foundations, the Palazzo Tiglio is a luxury stay with a fascinating history. Rich in heritage and lovingly restored, our hotel offers a glimpse into the past as far back as Roman times. Visit our ancient cellars to see a medieval water well and ancient grain stores cut into the rock, both thought to be from this period.
The perfect place to explore the beautiful Tuscan countryside from, we’re just minutes from the quaint townland of San Pancrazio. Sitting on a hilltop, our location marks the historically significant crossing of the Strada dei Procacci — a pilgrim and trade route that once connected the upper Arno valley with the southern part of via Lauretana towards Rome.
Now cared for by the Werich family, the building has been owned by a long line of noble dignitaries over the years. Decorated with gilded furniture and decadent antiques, there are many eye-catching interior details along with artwork to admire during your stay.

Experience life as a Tuscan noble with a stay in one of our elegant apartments. Fresh from a morning swim, stroll through our fragrant walled rose garden and back to your lavish living quarters. Featuring 18th-century open fireplaces, antique dining tables, and sumptuous sofas, each of our two available apartments sleeps 4-6 guests. Double rooms are also available on request during the winter months.

Our dining spaces are perfect for a lavish family dinner or romantic evening but also suitable for a memorable private or corporate event. We can seat up to 26 guests at a long communal table and cater to individual requirements.
