‘Unique’ is definitely one of the words we’d use to describe Locanda dei Mai Intees. You’ve never stayed anywhere like this before – a property that consists of a central building around which a tower, courtyard and beautiful veranda congregate. These elements whisper of our hotel’s bygone years as a small, 15th-century mediaeval village, partly made up of a square, post office, pharmacy and grain store. The village pharmacist – our ancestor – transformed these spaces into a single country residence, which centuries later, were transformed again into our charming historic hotel.

Beautifully renovated in recent years, our spectacular spot includes both contemporary quirks and classic features, highlights of which include our carefully-restored 15th-century frescoes and 16th-century fireplace, both found in the dining room. We’ve preserved this property’s original architecture wherever possible, and added traditional flourishes throughout – each of our 12 rooms and suites are furnished individually with antique furniture and modern technologies.
