Our name, ‘Alte Goste’, refers back to centuries of hospitality. The ancient Roman stone placed in front of our guesthouse is a reminder of its origins, first mentioned in a document in 1142. Tightly tied to a tradition of local tourism, the ‘Alte Goste’ was the first establishment in Valdaora to offer accommodation for travellers in this remarkable part of Italy.
