For three generations, the Bertazzoni family has run the Grand Hotel et de Milan with great passion while honouring its star-studded history. Among the many distinguished guests that have stayed with us is the Maestro Giuseppe Verdi, who visited for 27 years while working on Othello and Falsta. Beyond its celebrity ties, our historic property also made its mark towards the end of the 19th century, when it became the only hotel in the city furnished with postal and telegraph services – turning it into a hotspot for diplomats and businessmen.

The setting is spectacular – dine on delicious dishes inside a delightful veranda filled with period furniture, or head to our Don Carlos Restaurant where we pay tribute to Maestro Giuseppe Verdi in an intimate and refined setting. At Gerry’s Bar, you can also enjoy aperitifs and light bites in elegant surrounds.
