Over the past 50 years, we’ve been offering something a little bit original at Rathmullan House. Set in tranquil wooded grounds overlooking Lough Swilly, and at the beginning of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way coastline, our setting is idyllic: but it’s our welcome that sets us apart.
The ‘family feel’ of our historic hotel is one that’s been in place for two generations, and guests can guarantee attentive service from the moment they step through our doors – along with classic features to admire, modern amenities to use, and a wealth of things to do nearby.
Every room at Rathmullan House is individual, too. If you asked 100 regular guests for their favourite bedroom or lounge, you would most likely struggle to find two identical answers! We also have a reputation for fine food using local ingredients, as well as a heated swimming pool for you to dip into whenever you feel like it, if you’re not up for braving the chillier waters of the lough. Our award winning Cook & Gardener Restaurant provides the perfect setting to enjoy locally-sourced food cooked to the highest standards. Expect fish landed from Greencastle, meat supplied by local butchers and vegetables straight from our walled garden on our menu, which is updated regularly.
Our 15m heated swimming pool is exclusively for the use of guests at Rathmullan House, and is open from 8am – 8pm daily. For families, it’s an ideal location for afternoon fun for the kids, where for adults’ only travel parties, it’s a great space in which to relax and perfect your backstroke.
