At The Brisley Bell, the food does the talking — fresh, seasonal, and full of flavour. Our kitchen champions local producers, from Norfolk growers to artisan suppliers, with a menu that shifts with the seasons and celebrates what’s grown, caught or brewed nearby. Pair it with a proper pint, a bold red, or something from our carefully chosen spirits shelf.
There’s plenty of space to settle in. Outside, two acres of grounds give way to wild corners, herb beds and a sun-trap beer garden made for long afternoons. Inside, you’ll find crackling fires, hidden nooks and a bar where locals and visitors rub shoulders with ease.
We’re proudly independent, and everything we’ve built since restoring the inn in 2017 has been about comfort and quality — from our fully accessible layout to the six peaceful rooms just steps from the garden. With countryside walks on the doorstep and the North Norfolk coast and Norwich within easy reach, The Brisley Bell is a place to pause, explore and stay a little longer.

Our six garden rooms — Hunny, Troose, Windum, Stewkey, Hindol and Beeler — are tucked away in converted barns beside the pub. Each one has its own character, with vintage finds, underfloor heating, sloe gin, and homemade shortbread to welcome you in. Expect Smart TVs, Wi-Fi, contemporary bathrooms (some with freestanding tubs), and plenty of space to unwind. Three rooms are dog-friendly, and all are designed with comfort, charm and a good night’s sleep in mind.
Our restaurant is led by Head Chef Hervé Stouvenel, whose cooking is rooted in quality, seasonality and zero waste. With a nose-to-tail ethos and years of experience from Europe to the Caribbean, Hervé brings bold, honest flavours to the table. Expect modern takes on British favourites, French flair, and a menu that reflects Norfolk’s best local produce — all served with warmth and flair in award-winning surroundings.
Looking for something truly memorable? We offer exclusive use of The Brisley Bell for up to 80 guests — perfect for special celebrations. Enjoy full run of the pub, gardens and rooms, with seasonal food, bubbles, wine, flowers, a fire pit, and even a late licence until 1am. We host only a handful of private events each year, so if you’ve got something in mind, get in touch — we’d love to hear your plans.
